Who we are

Clanby provides hospitality staff cover for guest houses, B&Bs and small hotels in Dorset. For data protection purposes we are the data controller. You can reach us at hello@clanby.co.uk or 07903 551 134.

What we collect

When you contact us or book a shift we collect the details you give us: your name, the property name and address, your phone number and email address, the dates and hours you need covered, and any access or operational notes you send us so our staff can do the job.

We do not use analytics cookies or advertising trackers on this website. Nothing is collected automatically beyond the standard server logs kept by our hosting provider for security purposes.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange staff, carry out the work, invoice you and keep our own accounting records. The lawful bases are performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you started.

Who sees it

Only the member of our team assigned to your property, and our accountant where invoicing requires it. If you book through our online calendar, that booking is processed by Cal.com. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within twelve months. Records relating to work carried out are kept for six years, as UK tax rules require.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@clanby.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how we handle data we will update this page and the date at the top.
