Breakfast cover when your chef doesn't turn up
Breakfast is the one service a guest house cannot postpone. We send someone who can cook your menu to your timings, serve it, clear it and leave the kitchen reset — so the morning runs as though nothing happened.
What a breakfast shift covers
- Setting up the dining room and buffet before service
- Cooked breakfast to your menu — full English, continental or both
- Allergen questions handled and recorded the way you record them
- Service, clearing and turning tables through the sitting
- Kitchen cleaned down, dishwasher run, surfaces and floor reset
- A short handover note: what ran out, what needs ordering
Who books this
- Owners whose cook has rung in sick on a Friday in season
- Small hotels running breakfast single-handed
- Guest houses taking a week off without closing the dining room
- Properties with a sudden jump in occupancy for an event weekend
Questions
Before you book
What time do you start?
Typical breakfast shift runs 07:00–10:30, and we can be on site from 06:45 to set up. If your service starts earlier, say so when you book.
Do you cook to our menu?
Yes. We work from your menu and your timings, not a standard one. If you have a service sheet or a kitchen checklist, send it with the booking.
Can you do breakfast at short notice?
Often yes. Call before 9am and we will tell you straight away whether we can cover the same morning.
